I'm starting to ask better Questions! A conversation with Amantle Mokubung

Reflecting on the people we become, a Reminder of how incredible we are

Is it possible and feasible to opt for multiple careers,….. for our parent’s generation, having multiple careers wasn’t the norm.

Now we’re turning our side hustles into full-time jobs, switching lanes, and pivoting towards our ever-changing passions all at the same time. It’s just like Elizabeth Gilbert’s hummingbird analogy. They move from tree to tree, from flower to flower, from field to field and lead rich, complex lives while cross-pollinating the world.

Not all of us have a singular focus or that “one true calling.” And to be honest, that can be incredibly restrictive and rigid.

So, if you’re not wired that way, then embrace your curiosity instead, wherever it may lead. Because expertise in one domain will help fuel excellence in another. It’s perfectly possible to be good at more than one thing in your life or to be good at multiple things simultaneously. Just ask my ever-inspiring, and ever-hustling guest, Amantle Mokubung

She could have made a very comfortable living just being a marketing strategist, but instead, she chose to step outside of her “lane” to be, a Business Coach, a Feature Writer & radio content contributor, and now an entrepreneur with her new business/movement called, Makgarebe A Mahikeng, which she co-founded with her sister.. She’s incredibly successful at all of them!

In this episode, I virtually sit down with Amantle to find out how she followed her curiosity to pursue multiple career paths, why she launched her company, and the many lessons she’s learned along the way.

Her career in marketing spans over ten years, In a nutshell, Amantle is a member of the Marketing Association of South Africa (MASA) and in addition to her undergraduate marketing degree from the AAA School of Advertising, she holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from the IMM Graduate School, a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing and a Digital Strategy in Building Brands Certificate from the Vega School of Brand Leadership.

1. You can be in business AND make a positive impact too. Be a force for good. 2. Let the community inspire you. 3. The more you grow, the more you can go above and beyond and create opportunities for other people. 4. Stand for something different. Stand for something that’s special, that’s really good, and that the world needs more of right now. 5. Put it out there. Say it out loud. People will step forward and help you. 6. It’s not about selling the product. It’s about transporting them into an experience and providing a space where they can come in, take off their armor, and be themself. 7. Trust that you can figure it out one step at a time and put the right pieces in place to make it happen.

If there’s one thing that goes beyond the surface level of time & impact, it’s words that do more than existing as anecdotes. Even more impactful are words that affirm the uniqueness and strength that lies in individual beauty. So grounding this episode In impactful words :

Learn to embrace your own unique beauty, celebrate your unique gifts with confidence. You imperfections are actually a gift
